Windows Installation

  1. Ensure you are logged into both your Google account and Google Photos.
  2. Download and launch the GPsync application (.exe).
  3. Select the appropriate account tailored to your synchronization needs.
  4. Specify the appropriate directory for downloading photos, or use the default path.
  5. Initiate the process and let GPsync work its magic.

Ubuntu Installation

  1. First of all, log into your Google account and Google Photos via Firefox.
  2. Then make sure to install the venv(Virtual env.) module of python by open the terminal (ctrl+alt+t);
  3. python3:sudo apt install python3-venv
  4. After acquiring the gpsync.deb file from web and change the directory in the terminal to your gpsync.deb downloaded location, execute this command on terminal to install gpsync to your machine:
    sudo dpkg -i gpsync.deb
  5. Launch the application on terminal with just:
    gpsync
  6. Allow GPsync to orchestrate your synchronization seamlessly.
  7. To uninstall the application, type the command:
    gpsync-uninstall
